Food is an essential part of the Lifton Hall experience
Enjoy freshly prepared and locally sourced meals served in a relaxed atmosphere
We serve lunch and evening meals every Wednesday to Saturday – and there’s also our great Sunday lunch
We are closed Sunday evenings, and all day Monday and Tuesday
Food is available for residents at these times by arrangement
Our entrance is now at the back of the building – in North Road
There is a large step down – we have a ramp if needed
Our food and booking
We serve freshly prepared and locally sourced, quality meals – with something to suit every taste and appetite.
It is good, honest food and we make many of items we serve, here on the premises. There is always a good selection of dishes to suit most palates, including items that are gluten free, vegetarian or vegan. We can usually accommodate your specific dietary requirements – it’s helpful if you can give us some notice.
We strongly advise you to book a table. It is sometimes possible to walk-in, but on busy nights, people who have booked will get priority over those who haven’t.
Enough space for everyone
The dining space at Lifton Hall is compact and bijou. Please let us know if you are bringing a wheelchair, need a highchair or would like to bring a pushchair. We may not always have room, so it is better to get you booked in at a time when there is room. Thank you.
Curry Night + Pie Night
On Thursdays we alternate between curry night and pie night. As well as our standard menu you can grab yourself a tasty curry or choice of pie with potatoes, vegetables and gravy. And always at a great price.
The type of curry and variety of pies changes each time. And they have to be ordered in advance. See our social media for what’s coming up, or call us on 01566 784863. Or ask to join our mailing list.
Dogs
Dogs are very welcome. They should always be on a lead and kept off the furniture. Please tell us if you intend to bring a dog so we seat you at the right table.
We ask you not to bring your dog at busy times, such as Sunday lunch or Quiz Night. And because our tables are quite close together, it’s a maximum of 1 larger or 2 small dogs per table.
“The rooms are cosy, comfortable and clean. The linen so soft. The staff warm, friendly and helpful.
BUT the food – is delicious, beautifully presented and good value. No downsides I can find. Fully recommend, would love to come back.“
