How To Find UsOn foot or by cycle
We have plenty of space for bicycles and can lock them away in the shed if required. Muddy boots are no problem, as long as they're taken off outside! If you'd prefer a room with a bath so you can have a long, hot soak - just let us know when booking your room. If you have luggage that you don't want to carry or transport we are part of the Luggage Transfer scheme in place across the whole of the South West - please contact us for details. By busLifton village is on the 510 bus route that runs between Exeter and Newquay via Okehampton, Launceston, Camelford and Wadebridge. The bus is operated by Western Greyhound and stops in Lifton six times a day - Monday to Saturday - and once on a Sunday or Public Holiday. The bus stop is just outside the hotel. Visit the Western Greyhound website for details of the 510 route and bus times. By railThere are no train stations very close to the hotel. Exeter St David's is the better option if you're travelling from the east or 'up country' and is on the line to Penzance. It takes approximately 3 hours from London (Paddington or Waterloo), and not much more if coming from places like Manchester or Birmingham. Taxis can usually be caught outside the station, but its often cheaper if you ask us to arrange a taxi to pick you up. It's also possible to catch a bus from Exeter St David's station (see below). Plymouth station may be better if you're travelling up from Cornwall. Again taxis can be arranged to pick you up. Local taxi companies include:
