Our rooms

All our rooms are individually decorated. Each room has a flat-screen digital TV with access to a variety of channels and radio stations. The rooms also have tea and coffee making facilities, a hair dryer and phone.

Churchill

Churchill is one of our largest rooms with views across the courtyard and surrounding countryside. The room is on the first floor and has a large double bed and a comfortable seating area. There is a spa bath and a separate shower room.

Rademon

Rademon has recently been completely refurbished. It's also on the first floor and next door to Churchill. This is a sunny room, that looks out to the front and side of the hotel with views up on to Dartmoor. The bed is another large double and the bathroom is fitted with a walk-in shower cubicle. Rademon is next to the road, which isn't particularly noisy, but if you're a light sleeper let us know and we'll try to give you a quieter room.

Woodstock

Woodstock is the first of our two twin rooms with matching iron bedsteads. Recently refurbished this room is on the first floor and looks out to the front of the hotel over the road. It is a large and sunny room with a seating area and separate shower room.

Darliston

Darliston is one of our family rooms. It's bright and airy. On the first floor, it has views over the village and up towards the parish church. There is plenty of space for the large wrought-iron bedstead and double sofa bed. The bathroom is modern and fitted out with a large walk-in shower cubicle. Darliston is next to the road, so if you're a light sleeper let us know and we'll try to give you a quieter room.

Beckford

Beckford, on the first floor, is a delightful, quirky room with original beams and a sunny window seat. Recently refurbished, the room has a large double bed that takes centre stage, but leaves plenty of room for an armchair and dressing table. The en suite is fitted with a shower cubicle.

Shawell

Shawell is a pretty room with an interesting shaped ceiling and stunning picture window, that has views across the courtyard and up to the moors. On the first floor, Shawell has a large double bed and armchair seating. The bathroom has a bath with a shower fitted over.

Devonshire

Devonshire is another large room that was originally two smaller rooms. The four-poster bed and modern fittings make this one of our most popular rooms. The bathroom is modern and comes with a full length bath with shower over. This is the second of our family rooms and there is a double sofa bed as well as plenty of space to fit an extra put-you-up, if needed.

Caladonia

Another large room on the first floor, Caladonia, feels a bit like a suite. The bathroom has a bath with shower over and views across the village. The bedroom has a dual aspect with views across the village or up towards the moors. There is a large wrought-iron bedstead and seating.

Thatcher

One of the slightly smaller rooms with a pretty window looking out to the side of the hotel. Thatcher has a double bed and a bathroom with a shower cubicle. At the moment, Thatcher is our only room that struggles to get a WiFi signal.

Galloway

Our only ground floor room, Galloway is ideal if you find stairs difficult. It is bright and airy and has views across the courtyard from a pretty bay window. There are twin sleigh beds and a comfy sofa. The bathroom has a full size bath with a shower over.
